Compact transmission line technology design using a single 3 inch neo driver. For practice. It has a forward vent which caters for the lower reflex response and also the termination for the higher quarter wave resonance so that the cone is controlled over a wide frequency range. It is the lightest active bass amplifier we have ever seen, at 750 grams all in including a lithium battery. It fits neatly in a camera case!
This bass guitar speaker will surprise you with it’s sound and high quality driver. It is only 15 watts with the built in Class D amplifier, and can easily be heard for acoustic jams and at low volume practices indoors. The design is capable of controlling speaker movements down to a low B on a 5 string although it is currently optimised for 4 string basses.
Very easy to build using 5mm plywood which offers stiffness and low weight. The folded interior is not difficult to construct (although can be fiddly due to space constraints) and offers additional bracing to all the sides. We finished ours in a custom “Hulk Green” paint but the custom finish is your choice!
